Shane Ker
Shane has been training in karate since 1975, bringing decades of experience and insight to his practice. He has competed in six Soke Cups and values the depth of knowledge and application taught by Sensei Noonan, believing there is always something new to learn at every level. Through his training, Shane has developed a strong belief in perseverance and the rewards of both physical and mental hard work. Outside the dojo, he enjoys football, surfing, and the gym, and counts beef stroganoff among his favorite meals. Shane has trained in karate for 51+ years.

Training Philosophy
The depth of understanding of technique and the application of that technique from Sensei Noonan is second to none. Every time you train at the dojo you learn something new, no matter what level or color belt you are. Training at the dojo has taught me perseverance and hard work both physical and mental will reap rewards both physically and psychologically as well.

6 x Soke Cup Tournaments (Australia, Japan x 3, Hong Kong and Norway) Medals at all Soke Cups, Kakedemeshi (Full Contract) Tournament (Japan), 5 visits to the Sohonbu for training. Local highlights Tassei Cup Tournament Champion 2015, 2016, 2017. National Chito-Ryu Champion 2005, 2006, 2009, 2012, 2015. Blue Mountains Tournament Champion 2016.
Outside the Dojo
Hobbies: Any form of football, surfing and gym. Favourite food beef stroganoff.
